Feline Practice

Clinical programme (one/two year options)

This outstanding programme taught by world class speakers offers an in-depth look at the common and also more challenging feline issues through taught, interactive and case-based sessions.

With feline pet ownership overtaking dogs in the UK, vets are being presented with challenging feline cases every day. This programme will assist you in consolidating your knowledge of feline medicine and surgery and help you develop an informed clinical approach to the feline patient.

In addition a dedicated Programme Tutor will provide support throughout the entire programme ensuring you are well placed for your examination.

Your learning options:

  1. Extend your knowledge and skills in a specific area, by choosing a single or paired module of your interest.
  2. Complete the one-year programme (all modules) and achieve the General Practitioner Certificate (GPCert) and attain 40 academic credits at Masters Level 7.
  3. Continue on to a Postgraduate Certificate (PgC) that combines the GPCert clinical studies with reflective practice (the Advanced Practitioner Module is 20 academic credits at Masters Level 7.) The PgC is 60 academic credits.
  4. After completing your Postgraduate Certificate, you can apply for the RCVS Advanced Practitioner Status. This is subject to meeting all of the other entry requirements set out by RCVS in the Applicant Guidance Notes.

All delegates will receive a subscription to Harper Adam’s online e-library providing access to 1,000s of scientific articles and abstracts

Our online learning management system: Moodle – Provides access to course notes, discussion forums and other study resources, including surgical videos and webinars

A dedicated Programme Tutor will support every individual during their GPCert/ PgC programme to ensure a rewarding and successful learning journey.
